Mini Vci J2534 Driver Windows 10 64 Bit Download

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Techstream on Windows 7, 8.1 – x64 bit If you bought the MINI VCI J2534 cable and there is no unpacked driver on the disk, and there is only the MVCI Driver for TOYOTA.msi installer that does not really work when installed on any Windows x64 and gives an error, and it must be installed, otherwise the sw will not work. The cable is about 4’ long, with translucent casing and “MINI-VCI J2534 Standard OBDII Communication Interface” sticker. This cable comes with a mini CD with drivers and Toyota Techstream software. A laptop running 64-bit version of Windows 7/8. Mine is actually Windows 7 x64, but for Windows 8 the configuration procedure should be. The problem is the driver for the mini VCI cable there is a way to edit your configuration and get the driver to install on 64-bit windows. A buddy who is better with windows than I am did it for me in 5 minutes. It's just that you are trying to install a driver meant for 32-bit on 64-bit. Do some Google searching and you will figure it out.

Toyota Techstream softwareis verified to work no issues on 64 bit operation systems incl. Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10.

FYI, Techstream Windows 64 bit is tested by users, not pros working for obd2diy.fr.

Techstream Windows 7 64 bit:

Quick note on techstream 10.x with windows 7 or greater x64 with the 1.4.1 (and possibly the 2.0.1) Mini VCI cable. I was having absolute fits trying to get the driver recognized. Turns out the cable was being recognized as a Broadcom Bluetooth 3.0 Chip. If you select that device, Select Update driver, Select Let me Pick From a list of device drivers on my computer (letting windows scan a specific location doesnt work), then click have disk and browse to the location of your MCVI drivers (Should be C:Program Files (x86)XHorse ElectronicsMVCI Driver for TOYOTA TIS) and go to the ftdibus directory and select the ftdibus.inf file. This will get the correct drivers in place for the bus. The COM drivers will install automatically after you get the bus driver in place.

Hopefully the search engines pick this up and it is helpful for someone else.

Techstream Window 8 64 bit:

Got my Techstream (10.30.029) cable and software working on Windows8 64-bit laptop. Here’s what I did.

Mini Vci J2534 Driver Win 10

  1. I ordered this cable/software from Amazon. Was $15 with slow boat shipping, took 2.5 weeks to get.
  2. Load this page since I used this for most of my steps, http://blog.obd2diy.fr/2015/08/12/how-to-install-techstream-v10-10-018-in-windows-78-64bit-os/
  3. First thing you need to do is install the driver for the USB/OBDII cable. Follow the steps outlined in”Installing MVCI Driver for TOYOTA” of the ft86club post. I used the “Mini VCI Driver for TOYOTA.msi” in the 10.30.029 folder that came on the CD from Amazon
  4. After drivers are properly installed and you verify you can see the device connected on the XHorse Firmware Update Tool, you’re GTG
  5. Next up is the Techstream software, from the included CD I ran the “Toyota Techstream 10.30.029.exe”. After installation I went into the C:Program Files (x86)Toyota DiagnosticsTechstreambin folder and replaced the “MainMenu.exe” file with the one found on the CD.
  6. You should be able to load up the Techstream link that was installed on your desktop. When it asks to register with a new key, use the key found in the “serie.txt” on the CD.
  7. Next you’ll need to update your registry, on the ft86club post there’s a Dropbox link and with a “mvci-x64.reg” file, download this and run it.
  8. Open up Techstream, go to Setup menu, VIM Select, and choose the XHorse – MVCI. This will have Techstream use the XHorse – MVCI cable.
  9. If you try to Connect to Vehicle you’ll get a message that forces you to update the software. To get around this disable your internet connection (turn off wifi and/or unplug your ethernet cable). Now you can start and use Techstream without the force update check.
  10. When you connect there’s a counter in Techstream that only allows 30 connections to your car without an internet connection. To get around this go to the C:Program Files (x86)Toyota DiagnosticsTechstreamEnv folder and open the “IT3UserCustom.ini” file. Towards the bottom there’s a “ConnectionCount” variable, just update this to 1 when you get close to 30 connections.

This worked for me… hopefully this will save everyone some time/hassle. I would be careful of what you try to update in Techstream. I just updated the unlock so a single press will unlock all the doors. I also viewed some data on the TPMS stuff.

I think the first requirement is that your miniVCI cable hardware is capable of 32 and 64 bit, I think some of the earlier cables may be 32-bit (XP) only. If capable of 64-bit, then they give you a small CD with some special files “XHorse” and it takes a little bravery to mess with your Registry etc.

Btw, Many people will not be able to follow the instructions to install the necessary cominents. No judgement here, it is just reality.

Which is why I up telling people to stick with using an XP laptop instead.

That would be great if you have an XP laptop (or desktop) available…it is definitely a much easier install. But going forward I presume that’ll be harder to find. I thought the Win10 instructions were a little confusing but I worked thru it.

I bought a cheap Chinese Mini VCI J2534 cable for diagnostics and auto settings. I used it and found that you can do a lot with it through the Toyota Techstream service program.

And here he came to me:

Cable for diagnosis Mini-VCI J2534

I post links for download: Toyota Techstream 10.10.018 , drivers MVCI_Driver_for.msi
Then I will tell you how to install the driver and the program under Windows 7 or 8.1 x64.
The instruction can be found on the Internet , but I will write it here.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Techstream on Windows 7, 8.1 – x64 bit

If you bought the MINI VCI J2534 cable and there is no unpacked driver on the disk, and there is only the MVCI Driver for TOYOTA.msi installer that does not really work when installed on any Windows x64 and gives an error, and it must be installed, otherwise the sw will not work, and it does not matter. This problem can be solved by installing the MVCI Driver for TOYOTA.msi manually as follows:
1. Create a folder on drive C: Temp
2. Copy to our C: Temp folder our MVCI Driver for TOYOTA.msi file
3. With Administrator rights open and run the following command:
msiexec / a “C: temp MVCI Driver for TOYOTA.msi” / qb TARGETDIR = c: temp mvci
this command will extract all content from the MSI file to the C: Temp mvci folder
4. We delete the file MVCI Driver for TOYOTA.msi from the folder C: Temp mvci, it is no longer needed, we can also remove it from the folder C: Temp
5. We go in C: Program Files (x86) and create there folder XHorse Electronics and in it one more MVCI Driver for TOYOTA TIS and move there all the contents from the folder C: Temp mvci
6. Connect the MINI VCI cable to the USB port.
IMPORTANT: When the automatic driver installation process starts, it must be canceled and the device will not be detected.
7. Open the Device Manager and locate the two faulty devices in the list. They will have a yellow icon indicating that Windows could not install the drivers for them. Now right click on the faulty device, select “Update Driver”, then “search on this computer” next “Browse my computer” … and specify the path to “C: Program Files (x86) XHorse Electronics MVCI Driver for TOYOTA TIS “(” include subfolders “check box). Click the “Next” button and wait for the drivers to be installed.
Now you should see two new devices: “Controllers USB USB Serial Converter” and “Ports (COM & LPT) USB Serial Port (COM —)”. Where instead of a line will be your figure COM port.
8. Next, go to the path “C: Program Files (x86) XHorse Electronics MVCI Driver for TOYOTA TIS” and run the file “FirmwareUpdateTool.exe”.
In the opened program, click the “Device Info” button. You should see the “connected device” graph filled.

If you see this, then your MINI VCI works under a 64-bit version of Windows and can be used by other programs, such as Techstream.

There is a connection with the cable!

9. Now install Techstream using the software “Techstream.exe” of any version. after installation do not run it yet.
10. To activate it, you need to change the TISFunction = 1 line in the C: Program Files Toyota Diagnostics Techstream Env IT3System.ini file and change it to “0” and save the file.

Now you need to make the program see the cable
So that Techstream sees MINI-VCI under Windows x64, the Registry should be changed like this:

Mini Vci Driver For Toyota Tis Download

1. Open the Windows Registry Editor, on Windows 8.1 x64, the path is:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE PassThruSu pport.04.04 DENSO CORPORATION – TIS Techstream VIM]
But there must definitely be a folder PassThruSupport.04.04 and it has a subfolder (I have DENSO CORPORATION – TIS Techstream VIM) it should have the following parameters
: “Name” = “XHorse – MVCI”
“Vendor” = “XHorse ELECTRONICS Co., Ltd.”
“ConfigApplication” = “C: Program Files (x86) XHorse Electronics MVCI Driver for TOYOTA TIS FirmwareUpdateTool.exe”
“FunctionLibrary” = “C: Program Files (x86) XHorse Electronics MVCI Driver for TOYOTA TIS MVCI32.dll ”
” APIVersion “=” 04.04 ”
” ProductVersion “=” 1.1.0 ”
